Pure vanilla means the mechanics are untouched, which also means no grief protection and no way to get back to your base quickly. Semi-vanilla servers typically add land claims, a home and teleport request system, and a chat moderation layer, and stop there. Anything with ranks, crates or a shop is not what either term means.
Why redstone and farms behave properly here
