Prison is a mining ladder. Ranks, prestige and rebirth
The A to Z rank ladder is only the first layer. Nearly every prison server adds prestige, which sends you back to A with a multiplier, and many add rebirth on top of prestige for a second multiplier. How steeply those costs scale decides whether the server is a few weeks of play or a few months, so it is worth asking in Discord where the current top players sit.
Pickaxe enchants are the whole economy
Custom pickaxe enchants such as efficiency beyond the vanilla cap, explosive, jackhammer and various token multipliers are what turn one block broken into hundreds. Tokens earned from mining buy the next enchant level, and the curve on those levels is the real difficulty setting. A server with sensible enchant scaling stays playable; one without it turns into a click race in a fortnight.
How do I join a server from this list?
Every row carries the address players connect to. Copy it with the button on the row, open Minecraft, choose Multiplayer, then Add Server and paste it into the address field. Bedrock players add the same address under Servers, and if the listing shows a Bedrock port it is written next to the address. Nothing here needs a launcher, a mod or an account on this site.
How we order the Prison list

It is the standard way prison servers extend play past the last rank without adding more mines. Do I need to buy a rank to be competitive on prison?
On a well balanced server, no. Ranks bought from a store usually give multipliers and convenience such as extra sell chests or a private mine, which speeds you up rather than unlocking content you could not otherwise reach. Servers where the store sells enchant levels you cannot mine for are a different matter, and the store page tells you which kind you are looking at.
