SMP and survival are not quite the same thing

Every SMP is a survival server, but not every survival server calls itself an SMP. The label signals intent: a smaller population, a world nobody plans to wipe, and rules aimed at keeping the place civil rather than driving a grind. Big network survival worlds carry ranks, crates and a store; an SMP is usually closer to what a group of friends would run for themselves.

Whitelisted, application only and open

Plenty of the best known SMPs are whitelisted, which means an application on Discord and a wait before you can connect. Open SMPs let you join immediately and lean on claim plugins and moderation instead. Both are listed here. If a listing points at a Discord, that is usually the application.

How do I join a server from this list?

Every row carries the address players connect to. Copy it with the button on the row, open Minecraft, choose Multiplayer, then Add Server and paste it into the address field. Bedrock players add the same address under Servers, and if the listing shows a Bedrock port it is written next to the address. Nothing here needs a launcher, a mod or an account on this site.

How we order the SMP list

Our editor's picks lead, then the rest of the page is ordered by the votes players cast this month. Votes reset on the first of each month. Servers without a banner sit at the end, because a row with nothing to look at is a row nobody clicks.
