How to join a Cobblemon server, step by step
Cobblemon is a mod, so you cannot join with the plain launcher. Here is the reliable way:
- Install a launcher that handles modpacks. Modrinth App, CurseForge, Prism Launcher and ATLauncher all work.
- Search the server's modpack by name (for example TalonMC on Modrinth) and install it. This sets the Minecraft version, the Fabric or NeoForge loader and the Cobblemon version in one go.
- Give the pack at least 4 GB of RAM in the launcher settings, 6 GB for the big packs.
- Launch, open Multiplayer, Add Server, and paste the IP, for example play.talonmc.net.

Can you play Cobblemon without a modpack?

Can Bedrock, console or mobile players play Cobblemon?
Not on a real Cobblemon server. Cobblemon is a Java Edition mod, and Bedrock clients on phones, Xbox, PlayStation or Switch cannot load Java mods, even through Geyser. A network like TalonMC or OPBlocks may let Bedrock players into its other modes, but Cobblemon itself needs a Java PC.
